Live in the moment.

You must concentrate upon and consecrate yourself wholly to each day, as though a fire were raging in your hair. -

Taisen Deshimaru

In concentrating on the day, you must leave behind the past.  The past, for many holds regret, and should be remembered, not "lived in".  The past can teach you what to avoid and let you know your strengths and weaknesses, but it cannot truly change the present.  Damage from the past can affect you now, but in the now is where you learn to overcome your damage.

Guilt is a little harder.  If you did something you feel guilty for, make your amends RIGHT NOW, and move on.  If they are not accepted, it is OK.  It is your responsibility to offer them up, not to ensure they are accepted.  BUT, it is also your duty not to do that which will cause guilt in the future.  Guilt is an excuse for bad behavior much of the time.  Guilt can be overcome with attitude, this is one of the reasons I am posting this.

Fears, as damage from the past, can affect your present.

Fears are related to the future, born of the past.  Fear can be both healthy and unhealthy.  You must not fear that which is not related to everything.  I am afraid of getting hurt in a relationship, is not related to all relationships.  I am afraid of getting hurt from cancer, related to smoking.  Smoking causes cancer, and has been linked and proven too many times to argue anymore.  Do not forget that we ARE vulnerable, and that is the present.  It is better said here.

So all in all, to live happily, do so in the present.  This is the place that will create your trus destiny.

Today, I want to address the warrior's code...
Throughout time, as races become more advanced, they move into a natural realm of war with other races.  After that iteration, they begin to hone their personal best to create a caste of sentient being known as a war lord. These warlords begin to develop philosophies that either make their dynasty stronger or destroy it. If the dynasty is destroyed, the philosophy they had is taken apart and the good extracted for other dynasties.

The culmination of these philosophies creates a warrior’s code. Each era has one for its locale and race of people and ours is no exception… In the end there is one thing that permeates all Warriors’ codes that survive the test of time. That is that war is undesirable, but inevitable. Peace is the true goal of the warrior, inner peace being the most important to promote outer peace. This is the direction of the warrior, inner peace.

A message to remember today.
This is a story so, just open your mind:

2 men go to thier place of worship, a tax collector and a business man, the business man begins to pray to his God:

"Lord, I am pleased in giving you what you ask, I am solid in my faith, I have followed what you said, I have built your temple as you have laid out before me, I am a perfect example of your love and grace unlike this tax collector beside me."

The tax collector bow his head and prays:

"Lord do with me as you will, I know that I know not your intent."

Who do you think left exalted?

The one who exalts himself shall be humbled, and the one who humbles himself shall be exalted.  Yhis is not about religion, it is about faith in things greater than ourselves.  You may see God, Odin, Nature, Maiden, mother and crone, or whatever brings power.  Even if you worship time and your own energy, you need to know that you don't know to learn.  Only an open mind can grow.

The way of the warrior. Not the first lesson, but one of the prime lessons
The true warrior is not warlike and barbarian like in nature.  The true warrior fears war for what it does.  He is prepared for it, honed in it, and bred of it so that it may be minimized in it's nature.  One who pays attention to the sounds of the wind, knowing it might stop for him at any moment.

Every moment in life is unique and special, there is never a time that nothing is happening.

This is the first posting. This is not meant to be just for what I will put here.
My world last night was not chipper!  I got a call from an ex that just was very painful.  She does not know what she is doing right now, she is caught up in the moment and challenged by simple life tasks.  I will say no more, except that I should be stronger than I was.  Her new boyfriend got on the phone, jealous of my experiences with her and bitter, and I was not the person I usually am.

I wish to say that he is a scared boy and has not grown into a man yet.  Hopefully, for her, he might, but I should not have said what I did to drive the knife deeper into his ego.  I am a more peaceful warrior than that and feel I owe myself and the Ether my heart felt apology.  Every moment is unique and alive and that is all I will ever have!
